North Burnett Regional Council Bargaining Update

Your Services Union bargaining team was scheduled to meet with Council on Tuesday 26 May. This meeting has been postponed at Council’s request so they can finalise their financial offer.  The next bargaining meeting is now set for Tuesday 9 June, where we expect to receive Council’s wage offer.

After that meeting, it’s critical we hear directly from you.  A one hour paid time members’ meeting has been scheduled for Thursday 11 June at 10:00am, via Teams.

This is your opportunity to hear the Council’s offer and help decide our next steps.  If you’re unable to attend, you can contact delegate Scott Bambrick for an update or to share your views. We’ll also continue to keep members informed by email. 

So far, bargaining discussions have focused on working through claims from both the union and Council. You can follow the bargaining process by accessing the Workforce portal.  To do this open MAGIQ Documents, go to the Workforce portal, and find the most recent Certified Agreement documents at the top of the centre column.
