The anticipation builds at BCC

Today, a further meeting was held with Brisbane City Council (BCC) for the bargaining for the replacement Agreement.

There was a brief discussion about the Logs of Claims already submitted to BCC.

Following on from our member endorsement meetings, The Services Union has already submitted our Log of Claims on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.

The collective unions asked BCC whether they were in a position to put forward an offer for our consideration, given the previous comments of the CEO regarding wanting to reach an outcome quickly.

The BCC representative went away for a short discussion. Once they came back into the meeting, they indicated that an offer would be forthcoming at the next meeting on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.

Our members should be on standby for an update after that meeting.

Only members will get our update and have a say on the direction that our Union takes in negotiations.
